International Accountants Day (0)

We wish all the accountants a happy International Accountants Day! :)

There are three accounting consultants working in SimplBooks, who support our clients on a daily basis. Silva Saaliste and Julia Männik have been working in the SimplBooks Estonian team for many years. Milla Mäklin joined our Finnish team in the beginning of this year. We are very grateful for them for their good work and dedication! In addition to customer support, we also have user manuals and webinars that teach you how to use the SimplBooks accounting software, but on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m in Estonia and in Finland from 8 a.m to 3 p.m, our consultants are ready to answer any questions you may have about our software.

Why is November 10th International Accountants’ Day? – On 10 November 1494, Luca Pacioli, the father of accounting, published a book entitled ‘All about arithmetic, geometry and proportion’ (‘Summa de Arithmetica, Geometria, Proportioni et Proportionalita’), which described in detail Venice’s accounts.

This book became the first print work on the double-entry method, which described most of the accounting cycle in a modern understanding of the process. Income, expenses, capital, assets and liabilities were recorded in the general ledger at that time.
